Even Hurricane Harvey didn’t slow down this bulk ethanol loading project Liquid Transfer Group designed for Jefferson Energy in Beaumont, Texas in 2017. Because refined product pipelines are historically unsafe and unreliable, a more secure method of transport is needed.

U.S.-based midstream terminal companies like Jefferson Energy are well-positioned to step into emerging markets but often lack the infrastructure to meet and execute the demand for export. In this case, Jefferson Energy agreed to partner with Exxon to provide logistics but needed a safe and efficient loading system to succeed. Liquid Transfer Group provided customized design and engineering of a 10-spot double-sided refined rack.

With the implementation of our designs, Jefferson and Exxon became the first U.S.-based companies to provide unit trains of gasoline and diesel to the entire fuels value chain in Mexico.
